"Exchanges" - exhibition of photographs

Preparations are ongoing for our exhibition “Exchanges” in the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. The theme for this year’s festival is the digital but as well as work addressing this technology there is also an “Analogue Fringe” based at The Egg Factory.   hebdenbridgeartsfestival.co.uk

There are three of us showing in “Exchanges” – Simon Ford, Charlie Meecham and Kate Mellor. Charlie and Simon are showing very recent work. Charlie exhibits images of hands, referring to the manual work that still continues despite digital means. Simon’s work shows distribution hubs; the delivery system Just In Time Logistics depends on material and digital time. Kate is exhibiting pinhole photographs which are then photoshopped. Her photographs are concerned with the change of image in areas of post-industrialization.

 The exhibition venue is Machpelah Works basement which will be open from 21st - 30th June from 2pm until 6 pm.  There is a late night opening on 27th June 7pm until 9 pm.
