For the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, Simon Ford, Charlie Meecham and Kate Mellor are exhibiting at Machpelah Works. Addressing this year’s festival theme, they discuss in various ways the revolution in seeing and producing that digital methods have generated. Charlie is showing work about hands (digits) referring to the manual work and the material that exists despite digital technology. Simon’s work is about distribution hubs which are built to house the delivery system Just in Time Logisistics which relies upon digital and material time. Kate is exhibiting work from Architraum - pinhole photographs which are then photoshopped. They discuss post-industrialisation and the change of image sought through signature architecture and adaptations to existing buildings.
